Family Communication

Ensure that you have the ability to communicate with family and friends during a disaster. In a disaster, methods of communication can be severely limited, if not completely unavailable. Make sure that you have a communications plan so you and your family can keep in touch. It is also always a good idea to have a car charger for your cell phone in case the power goes out, and program In Case of Emergency (ICE) numbers into all family member’s phones.
